Black Swift is an investment advisory and alternative investment manager located in Boulder, Colorado. This is an in-office position and not remote. The ideal candidate is honest, hard-working, ethical, organized and has a high level of integrity. Must be able to establish and maintain solid working relationships with clients. The position requires either excellent knowledge of, or desire to obtain financial planning and investment management concepts and terminology. Position Overview

This position will focus on supporting Black Swift’s investment advisor team directly in managing existing and new client relationships. You will assist in various projects including preparing portfolio reviews and reports, client communications, and other client relationship activities. An in depth understanding of various software applications and communication tools are essential for the position. A working knowledge of investments and general financial planning is desired but not required. Training and mentoring will be made available to ensure you have a successful and rewarding career. You are expected to have the foresight and ability to work independently and anticipate firm needs and client questions.

Initial Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the client service process by assisting in the production of marketing material, updating databases and reports for both the investment team and client service team.
  • Conduct client meetings and reviews, and prepare review material including investment portfolio reviews and updates on market conditions and Black Swift’s outlook. Direct involvement in the coordination and planning of client meeting agendas and client events.
  • Involvement in all aspects of post-client meeting tasks including scheduling and follow-up of any actionable items following reviews, and any required financial planning projects or investment review projects required by clients. Review of fund subscription documents and client onboarding paperwork including the processing and gathering of information.
  • Interaction with clients over the phone, via e-mail, and in-person.
  • Proactively work to improve the systems and processes within the office and overall client experience.
  • Maintain and manage a CRM system.
  • Strict adherence to client confidentiality policies and guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Support in the portfolio management and analysis of client investment accounts upon obtaining appropriate licenses.
  • Potential member of the investment management committee, and input into investment management operations, advisors, clients, and service providers.
  • Paid training to attain either advanced certifications such as the Certified Financial Planner designation.

  • 5 years of professional experience, or 3 years of industry experience

  • Ability to identify, meet, and follow through with client needs and requirements
  • Able to work independently 
  • Proficient with Google Docs and Excel
